The Work Space
Its been a while since I updated. Things have been kind of busy around here, if you'd like an excuse.
First, I got a new assistant. She's great. She is super efficient and helps me plow throw the mountains of paper work that inevitably arise as the week progresses. Yay for her! Yay for me! On the downside I had to move her into my office (goodbye solo office status), but that's actually a small sacrifice to make for her efficiency and help. She also doesn't make a stink about the music, so yay for her again. And yay for Vivaldi's
Four Seasons: Summer. Great track.
There are a lot fewer peeps working around here these days. I think there are fewer employees now than when I began here six months prior. We didn't have a lot of fat then and we don't have a lot now. I wonder when we're going to do more hiring? Probably not soon considering the fracas that developed with the sales team a few weeks ago. Well, that's not my department, so I'm not stressing on it. Breaking things into smaller pieces has become a new process of coping with this stressful situation. I just take on what I can bear and I let the rest go to someone else. I tried to be Mr. Solves-it-all when I first showed up and it was burning me out pretty damn fast. This new technique is perhaps more "lazy" but at the benefit to my sanity, so its a cumulative benefit.
